Glennon Residence

At the Glennon residence, the goal was to create a landscape that not only looked intentional but also worked quietly and reliably behind the scenes. The property had areas where water naturally collected and moved toward the house, so we designed a drainage system that blends into the landscape while protecting the home long-term. The rain garden was shaped to naturally receive excess water, finished with cobble and basalt boulders so it feels like part of the garden rather than a utility feature. A French drain directs water safely to the basin, keeping moisture away from the foundation and planting beds.

To improve both function and flow, we added a crushed-gravel path along the east side of the home, adjusting the grade as we went to ensure water moves away from the structure. The welded steel edging, fabric underlayment, and compacted gravel create a clean, modern look that’s easy to walk and work on. Altogether, the project gives the homeowners a landscape that drains properly, looks cohesive, and feels thoughtfully built — practical solutions delivered with a clean, natural aesthetic.
